Echo Chinese Ensemble is formed by Pipa (Chinese lute) soloist Yihan Chen based in Simsbury, CT. The ensemble offers a variety of Chinese traditional music workshops for schools, community groups and festivals. Our workshops are suitable for all ages and normally last 40 minutes to one hours. The workshop will include introduction and performance of Chinese traditional music. Instruments will include pipa, guzheng, erhu, dizi, hulusi and percussions. Audience participation and question answer will follow the performances.
